A daily commitment
For several years now, we have been taking concrete action to reduce our environmental impact while guaranteeing our guests a quality stay. Obtaining the Clef Verte label recognizes the efforts we make every day to preserve our beautiful region and our beautiful village of Grand-Bornand.
Among the initiatives we have put in place:
- Waste reduction: we favor bulk products, limit plastic packaging and encourage sorting thanks to the sorting garbage cans provided in the establishment.
- Water and energy management: we have opted for energy-saving equipment, installed glass bottles filled with tap water in the rooms and are raising our guests' awareness of responsible consumption.
- Respect for biodiversity: a green fallow area has been laid out to encourage local flora and fauna, and swallow nests have been installed to encourage their presence.
- Responsible catering: whether for breakfast or at La Table du Chalet, we give priority to fresh, local and homemade products. We work with suppliers committed to a responsible approach, favoring short supply chains wherever possible, in order to offer tasty, environmentally-friendly cuisine.
A label of values
The Green Key label is awarded to establishments that meet demanding criteria in terms of environmental management and social responsibility. By obtaining it, we commit ourselves to pursuing our efforts and continually improving our practices for a more virtuous tourism.
